Broooo. Don't leave me, brotherooo. I'm bulimic: I take drugs like I'm in a clinic. My walking is not right. I'm wiped. I don't know my name, but I know your name. Give me a gram and I'll put you in a frame. Broooo. Don't you hear me when I'm screaming? On the dike, I'm freezing, I'm wheezing. I'm shitted, pissed, injected, vaccinated. Call my mother, she knows me like no other. Broooo. I'm dying, I'm smashing everything. I'm punching your fucking face in. I'm fighting God. I'm bravade. Out of a crochet, I'll make y'all bouquet. I'll trace you on a string. A gram is making my living. The dead laugh in my face. Broooo. I'm afraid.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
