The queue was spreading up to the end of the village. People from all over the country gathered to see the wonder. Lenuța was sitting in an armchair, filling for each a bottle from her breasts. The milk was flowing as if it were a spring and several months have already passed since it wouldn't stop. The elders were washing their faces and rejuvenated, sick children were healing instantly. The lanes had the smell of breast milk. They all thought that it was for the best that her new-born died, otherwise they wouldn't have seen something like that. After that, they would make the sign of cross and drink up the milk.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
