Last night I got a visit from Bruin. He stopped under a young sour-cherry tree, he dragged its branches till they broke and crammed with fruits. This abusive event, that happened right under my window had consequences. First of all, I blocked the doors with heavy objects, including the iron stove from the bathroom. Then I deleted from my agenda all the defenders of the Carpatin bear. In the end, I took a hose with long, strong flow. I sleep with it under my bed. However, I have a small problem: what am I supposed to do if the water runs out, as usual?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
