The window is covered in blood and your breath. You'd want to draw with your finger and spread it, covering the dust. You could write. His name. But he would get above himself. He would think you waited for him bleeding. Although, maybe this way he would love you. Passionately, without leaving you. Since you've been here, he only came once. He patted your hips, he told you were beautiful. You lived and fed with those moments. But now you can't do this anymore. You want him. Why is no one putting him away? He stole my heart and blood and my thoughts and everything.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
