At that time I was rising gently on my toes, biting softly from the moon, like a teasing. As the dog bites out of love. You took the moon out of my mouth. I hate you. You didn't give me the right buttons, you took them from me. I could see him walking away as he spoke to the left inner pocket of his coat. Stay calm, he said, don't stab me anymore, I'll take you back. I just brought you to see how bad they are. And a translucent light came out of his pocket and covered him round like a scene. You better have me harnessed to the big cart.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
