You poisoned him, you bastard. Really, Joița, we didn't get to do anything. That cheap chocolate that had melted in his breast pocket he had brought it to me. He didn't even get to give it to me, the stingy one. There in the car he was a little agitated, he sweated, but don't think that he did something good. After two movements he rolled his eyes and I was immobilized, I couldn't even find my phone to call 112. I said, well, this is trouble, another one dead, I didn't even eat the chocolate and I didn't feel the effect of the blue pill.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
