I really don't know what was on my mind, for real. Didn't you even think for a bit? Bro, we go stealing, not to the mall. We risk losing hundreds, or even worse. It's serious business for professionals, what the heck. Everything has to be done wisely, as we planned, you don't come to me with improvisations, and end up in jail like fools. So I don't want to hear about this anymore. Do you understand? No. What, do you think you're the boss? We take her with us and that's it. And that's not all, she's my sister. She has to learn a trade too, what the hell.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
