I am sorry, but I couldn't resist. I am weak. She was standing there, next to me, with her pink skin, young and full of life. I toughed her with a finger, by mistake, and I felt virile, away for my existential crisis. She doesn't blame me for anything. She wants me. She touches me. Its not your fault, neither mine. I have my right to live the rest of my life as I want. While he was whispering all of these, she was gathering children's toys. She seemed on autopilot, lost in her home robe. For a moment she looked at him, but empty.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
