It sounds quite conclusive. Are you saying it's dead? Handwriting. Calligraphy. When you beautifully polish the words you are recreating the world. Then, as you write, a whole world is born before your, and everyone's eyes. When you write mother, it's a simple word, but every one resounds differently, when you write my child, you see different appearances, but all of them are wonderful. When you name things, you establish boundaries. With this page, I want to entangle you in my world, for you to stay here with me. I promise that this is the last letter, for today.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2021, the group has 7.000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
