I didn't think it fit for me to write to you. That was until I fell. Through the fluff of your hands and my brains went liquid, from the top of your caress and my knees went weak from longing. I gathered up the courage to write to you, blue on white, just how you like it, because I can't take it anymore. You steal away everything that's dear to me. You're letting me agonize over you like a beaten dog. You give me one needle tip of happiness and then you throw me into a wagon of sorrow. They say I should get looked at. Say, don't you want to get looked at together with me? P.S.: I'm waiting for you on Bucium 36.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2021, the group has 7.150 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
