What's your name? How old are you? Where do you live? Who do you love more, your mommy or your daddy? What do you want to be when you grow up? What do you want Santa to bring you? Don't you want to sing a little song? What did you have to learn for today? Do you want to be my girlfriend? Do you want to grow old with me? Do you still love me? Why aren't you answering? I have some good news and some bad news. Which one do I begin with? God, since You enjoy testing me so much, stop sending Your assistants to question me. Man up and ask me Yourself.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
