Who aren't you, woman? Where didn't you come from and when did not you stop. What you don't hate me for when I'm not. Why aren't you ugly so that I could not be brave. How do you not dream when you can't even sleep. Who aren't you woman, that you could not teach me how to not taste you, not to touch you like a blind man swarming in your soul. I don't want you because of an unknown unprinciple. How can you not find me when I'm not even looking for you? When we do not love each other, untime, unspace, unscience appear. You don't want us to be dumbfounded, negative woman, and when we don't die, we should never hide from anything.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
