Once upon a time, there was a fat girl. Everybody called her fat. Mommy's chubby, the fat girl from the second floor, the fat girl from the B class, poor fat girl was never more than That Fat Girl. The girl had built walls around her in order to defend herself. It is said that the walls have slightly fell and behind them came a princess who lived in her body like in a castle. She was so beautiful. Everybody was shocked beyond words. When she reached him, she smiled and kissed him. Thank you, you're the only one who called me Miruna.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
