I shut down the Bible. Actually, I have just finished writing it. I mean, I finished it in the next morning so I fell asleep with it over my chest and got woken up by the fire burning in the fireplace. I found it pretty hard to make up such an unlikely true. Of course, I had no intention for it to be so debated, analyzed, reinterpreted. Especially because I wrote in a difficult language, unapproachable. I had the help of a lot of naives, I mean, natives, but good ones, some that were friends with my son. But I didn't anticipate the impact and the ending it amazing.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
