That's it, we are splitting up. I've had enough. Did you really think you'd be enjoying my creations, these gifts I've bestowed upon you until the end of times? How many of you are still in faith? Of all of you, only 12 apostles of the genius. Other, around 40 of them, martyrs of excellency. The rest of them, countless of them, pretend to be faithful, but they are all Pharisees who only sometimes read the holy texts and pray and worship and be humble. There, it began to rain. Noah, you know what to do.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
