His tongue set fire to the damp gates, and his almond-shaped eyes stepped on the threshold. She had received them sighing, pinned in black latex. She kissed his pulse, put leash around his neck, and dragged him faithfully into the gloom of the room. His silk-blinded eyes were erected at the core of the synapses. Kneeling, his sternum felt the pressure of a 6'' stiletto. Red wine, cascading over the full clouds, dripping over his arid jugulars. He licked her like a hot ice cream. Handcuffed he was free. In the morning he had to have coffee with his wife.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
