I love improvisation. I'm really good at it. Come on, give me a subject. Do you want a comic approach? I have some ideas that can surely make one give a quarter of a smile. Or can I slip on the edge of a philosophical idea, with a universal truth in hand? I am rarely asked to provide tragedy. It's pretty difficult to sink into my own soul, but I can do that too, since I was not spoiled by fate. Talented, I'm not, but my courage saves me, as does my imagination. Already? Do I have to go now? How quickly the written characters ran off.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
