Do you know that one from the fourth floor? Which one? The Red Riding Hood. A, the one that does delivery at the old unmarried women boarding house? Yes, that one. What about her? She's pregnant, she'll have two cool werewolves, but she's yelling like crazy at her husband about why he slept with her mother and her grandmother. And do you know what he answered? What? If I tell you, don't do it like last time when I told you about that one that ate the yeanlings of the one from the neighboring staircase, did you understand? Yes, only don't keep me waiting like on the goat's fire and tell me what he said. That he's gay. And that he likes the hunter.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
