It is said that through the sun you don't hear snowing in your head, and if you see thaw outside, you're not looking for your wiffle balls bats, but maybe you're laughing at the old ladies boiling eggs, with tears in their eyes even if it's not raining. And in the first moment, a smile could say stay. It is said that there is a couple who no longer understood the spell in their ear, nor did the whispered voiceless song have any notes from the Cupid range, and the solfeggio key opened no more either the time, nor doors woven against time with unseen threads like these that were waiting to chirp the story.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2021, the group has 7.275 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
