A killer virus has wiped out the humanity. They said it was also the Apocalypse. I'm the only one left. Mitică. The best quantum carpenter, binary craftsman. But I don't think so, God no way. What's the Apocalypse without the 4 horsemen, without the sky catching fire, a fake and a charade. Romanian like this: 2 fires, 3 earthquakes, and those were second hand. They also faked the alien invasion. To see those lame UFO's and lasers from when grandma was a girl in 2726. They left nothing but mountains of garbage, toxic air and unbearable climate. Yeah, well, you don't fool Mitică that easily.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
