I don't want to catch you doing, you know, those shameful acts here. Well, is that even possible? I wouldn't want to give you too many names, so I'll just give you a random example. Mărin, what business did you have that you went to Leana in the middle of the night? Come on, I know very well what you've done. You as well, madam Saveto, a serious woman with kids and grandkids, and here you keep doing you-know-what? Do you find it nicely? I am very unpleasantly surprised by some of you. Well, what is this place, a brothel or a cemetery? Not even when you were alive was that way.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In November 2021, the group has 7.500 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
