Because it was something irresistible, because it was always in front of me, because appeared something else, because it was forbidden and because I was also temped by somebody telling me that is was something extraordinary, unheard, that it is so beyond and you don't refuse something like that. I am human too, eh. I have confessed because I thought nobody will observe, why should I make such a fuss? And know that it wasn't even as it seemed, I was in a kind of confusion and it wasn't just my fault.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
