I told myself to stop making fun of the politicians in the new year. That's it, it doesn't solve anything. They are people too, they deserve respect. The first day was fine. But I didn't even turn on the radio, the TV, or the internet. Then I couldn't resist anymore in the emptiness of information. What? One said that myocarditis affects two organs: the heart and the cord. My lord, how? I touched myself, I undressed in front of the mirror, I had my man listen to my chest. Clearly, I have a birth defect, I don't have both of them. That's probably why I can't help it. Muha, ha, ha, ha, hi.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
