They sit quietly in their seats. The daughter has been in the habit of holding her brother in her arms for eight years. At first she did not agreed upon the fact that she has to share everything with him, but now she is content with that. The husband gave way to his in-laws and I'm glad we have no reason to quarrel. All sits are occupied. What a perfect image, like a studio picture, except that I'm never in the framework, too busy and too preoccupied for them to have it all just fine. Another year is ending. I am once again putting myself back in the first place 3, 2, 1, HBD, I run to hunt down a green horse, flash.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
