We have a booking here, at the hotel. ID please. Don't tell me you'd like to check into room 101, like everybody else. You do know it is in high demand right now. How can we not know, we too keep an eye on what the admins are posting on the group. We have no chance, do we? The receptionist smiled. The elevator door slid open and the plumber showed up with a numbered plate filled box: I just finished the fifth floor. Give me the plates for the sixth. The receptionist turned towards the guests: you're in luck, the fifth floor, room 101, seventh one to the right.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
