Her skin was so delicate, if you touched it, your hands would be filled with velvet. Blood flowed from her lips, dripping on her neck, shoulders, breasts until it tightened around her heart. Then her body came to life, her cheeks trembling with desire, she could feel the caress of his warm palms, her eyes were squinting sleepily and her hair was undulating like the waves in the wind. With one last gasp, she smiled. I want home. He wiped away a tear. We take the pills first. There is no luggage. It is free at 101.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
