I haven't been able to make love to my wife since the kid has arrived, so I left him with his grandmother and went to a hotel to do it. My feet were shaking at the door. When we enter the room, the mother-in-law with the kid. I called all my friends, luckily Ana told me where you are. This little one swallowed a piece of lego. I love my baby, but at that moment I said to myself he could swallow four more. We'll handle it after that. I was looking at them and I wanted to swallow both my mother-in-law and the baby because no one was swallowing me for another three months.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
