What a satisfying trade, I bought myself a fetish from the fair by Biggleswade. On the way everyone seemed afraid, others seemed to throw some shade, for I was on a crusade, until I brought it back I wouldn't be swayed. Mr. Gheorghe, what has you weighed? Let go of it, can't you see its blade? Careful, lest you get flayed. Oi, man, again came wasted from Biggleswade? Don't you feel dismayed? Inside of you, sins pervade. Shut your trap. I need no aid. Quiet or a pile of dust I'll have you made, 'till you're all decayed. Why are you heading towards the glade? For what else? I'm off by the creek to fix a little leak.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
