The floor was dry, sign that she was waiting for him in the bathtub. He got close shyly, he kneeled, leaning his chin on her shoulder. He breath in the flavor of apple, and her earlobe flinched. He took the cloth and moved it on her arms, on her hips and thighs, on her collarbones. A giggle escaped from somewhere under her left breast. "Ok, I'll stop" he promised, half serious and kissed her hand. Carefully, he took the foam off of her and dressed her in a soft bathrobe. She was serene when he laid her down and put his head in her lap. The wheelchair moved a little.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In January 2022, the group has 7.830 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
