I forget to eat, I sleep too little, I dream enormously. My fingers dance though the air because of too much writing of endless messages, words that are covering our feelings, I fall asleep with the phone in my hand, I know everything about you, I wrote to you everything about me, we feel alike, we breathe in the same rhythm. I have no doubt we will love each other until the very end. Yesterday we got out from the virtual space into the real world. After we made love as two hungry lunatics, I fell asleep on your chest. I left in the morning. Why didn't you tell me you were snoring?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
