I am stressed out. The group is already too big. I fear we're going to go bankrupt, then the television's going to appear and the whole country's going to find out everybody writes for free here. Admins, have you removed everybody's year of birth? Not yet, Florin, we did it only for those who actually write. We should finish with these ones first and then with those who give us likes, who watch from afar, but you know how things are, they are still here. Very well, for those who are going to retire, sent them a notice, tell them they still can stay in the group if they want, but they're going to write for free from now on because I can't afford to pay them anymore.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
