Enough. I've had enough. I quit. I can't do this anymore. It is not a resignation, but it is more like a rustication. I come down from under the Spotlights. What do you mean, what are you going to do without Me? You, Son, can take my place. If you want, of course. Or maybe you, Luci. Or you can take turns. You during this pandemic, and you during the next one. But, be careful not to get out among them. Play with them from Down here. What do you mean what are you going to do with the Light? You turn it off or let it go to hell. Be careful to keep here, with us, at least the Word.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In February 2022, the group has 7,950 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
