I believe in God, The Writing, but I confess that I live in sin. I often take His name in vain, when I say that He is my purpose, without serving Him sufficiently. I seldom glorify my mothers and fathers writers, only when I have a little time. I steal ideas. I overindulge, thinking I can satisfy my cravings for poetry, non-fiction, and ultra-short prose. As for pride and anger, it's hopeless. As for killing, I've killed so many texts, that I've made the garden of the soul a graveyard. And about lusting after another's work, I won't even start confessing.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In March 2022, the group has 8,050 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
