Ion was very good in bed. Well, to this one, when he felt like it, he could have slept until 12 o'clock in the morning, he was so good in bed. No doubt, he liked women, but in our village most of them were old ladies and he didn't have many possibilities, because he wasn't Macron. What if he liked drinking? One word: Moderation. By the time Ion got to the pub, Moderation was already drunk out of his mind. Suddenly I see stars surrounding me. You're talking about me in the past tense, aren't you?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
