Anca, dinner. It could be heard from the third floor of a tower block over the whole neighborhood. What are we eating, I asked from downstairs for fear that the neighbors would be curious. I've got creamed sugar and mashed potatoes in the oven. Come on up. When I walked in, I'd see the same white bowl of steaming parsnip soup and the cornerless bread waiting for me on the table. I got tricked again. I should have known. For two weeks we've had it in puree and schnitzel and no crème brûlée. But now, when all I eat is sushi and KFC, I would like some soup.

(In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
