I didn't hesitate too long and asked her out for a walk. It could have been the last. The cool forest brought a little relief to the edgy feelings I was dealing with then, at the end of the semester. Alas, we wouldn't see each other for another two dusty, never ending months, and who knows if she'd write to me from across the country. At least I'm spared the torment of boring school classes, even if I prefer their ordeal to her absence. What a lovely hand she has. If only I could somehow keep her from leaving.

(In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days.
