Come on, woman, let's cool off after such a hellish dance, he said. How can I refuse? He's a well-endowed man, with connections. I just whispered to him to do it quickly, so Gică wouldn't sober up. But where can you cool off? In the back of the dormitory, the vice-president and his secretary were chilling, in the stable, two councillors were chilling, moaning. Let's go out into the field, he whispered, groping my breasts. Pfft, damn you, in the corn, Gică. I stepped to the side and shouted: Punk, are you shitting in the corn? Are you stinking up nature? I came with the mayor to embarrass you.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
