They had been informed that a Nazi was hiding in Cumbrecita, Argentina, in his old age. Noa had managed to infiltrate his family, pretending to be in love with one of his grandsons. Her mission was to take him out. When she arrived in the small town near Cordoba, she found a regular family, who gathered on Sundays, after church, in the grandparents' house, to have lunch together. How do you kill a senile old man, who barely remembers the faces of his own children? How much does \'an eye for an eye' still matter, after 50 years?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
