The sun was falling askew on the body of the woman next door, who was smearing her neck and her naked breasts lazily, next to the pool, as lazy as his glance through the fence boards, and the voice of the man who was leaving his home disappeared in an echo when the heat which flooded her unveiled body, lying on her belly, the body which she was touching in the same rhythm with her movements, was suddenly put to an end by the brief gasp he made when he felt the weight which pinned him on the grass and he found himself pierced by a desire at least as intense as his.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
