What do you say? Even NeaVelicu and Jurjac and Mircea Cimpoi, all of them? All of them, it was impossible. They had all kinds of stupid ideas in their heads. Don't be late, be elegant, don't wear your handcuffs, don't smoke, don't talk on the phone. Well, if they had come to tell us that we are not even allowed to talk to the client. Well, fuck you. How can you not talk to the customer? So how do you know where to take him? Oh, the app. I gave up. And what do you call it? GETA, because Cimpoi said that GETAX sounds too communist.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
