This way to Paradise is written on the banner at the end of the path towards the sea. Through the pines, the beach and its sunbeds hidden under straw umbrellas can be seen. On one of them, barely formed out of a rib, waits a gorgeous and already bored Eve. An emerald wave licks her fully ringed fingers and the silver snake-shaped bracelet wrapped around her delicate hand. She blinks languidly, mixing the sky, the sea and the sand with her eyelids. Out of nowhere, a tanned arm hands her a fogged up bottle. You can read minds, Adam. I've been dreaming about this beer for a century now.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
