As beautiful as a fragile dream, she looked at me with astonishment. My dear, the idiot you're seeing with is my husband, I know, shocking, but he doesn't deserve you. She started crying and took my hand in hers, saying he tricked me with his vibe of a suffering artist and I wanted to comfort him. When she touched my cheek, I felt like I was losing myself, and her whisper in my ear sent shivers down my spine. Have a taste of me and you'll want more. Amber and nectar she was, and I avidly sipped every drop that fell on my lips. Now she's my lover. I handed in the divorce papers. I don't want to share her with my husband.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
