This can't be true. I've been in love with the same man for ten years. We have a lot in common. The talk comes naturally, it's delightful, the sex is divine, I like his perfume, his skin, I adore how he breaths, how he eats, how he's silent. We live in a glass sphere where we squeezed in our entire universe. Today we had a small fight, then he told me that he wanted to put a full stop to this. He's in love with someone else. What full stop? I've been accepting all your commas. That's me who's putting a full stop to this, I told him. Now we're up in the air, hanging from a string of dots.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
