I was out of town. When I came back the city was gone. So I feel abandoned. Or have I abandoned building something between me and Them? The sand can also be of use to me in the flow of time and the shaping of a new city, but I am no longer the one who does this. To pave a bridge of shivers between souls that will shake your mechanized beings. This taciturn architect of packaged ideas is ready to drown his bitterness of failure in the drowsy swamp of failure. I'm dying for a new ivory tower.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In August 2022, the group has 9,000 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
