Woman, you do not comprehend what I'm talking about here? Do you want me to draw it for you? Stop dreaming about green horses because things are not how you imagine. Go an'getthat. What do you mean by what? I have been so stupid when I married you. All women are the same. One may say I speak for myself. Woman, shut up and listen to me. Bring to me that thing, how do you call it, with hair. Now you pretend you don't know, but if there had been a stick ready for you you'd have gone to it immediately. That, woman, with the handle that we use around here. The lime brush, the lime brush. Go an'getthat before the lime dries

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2022, the group has 9,250 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes every few days. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
