Put the Legos away. If I step on them on more time, they're all going in the trash. Did you do the dishes? Brush your teeth. Stop putting dirty clothes in the closet. Am I the only one who takes out the trash in this house? Keep it down, stop yelling. You can't say you're not yelling while yelling. Stop running around, it's midnight. That's it, bedtime, I'm tired. No, you can't have any more dessert. I'm on the phone, can you please keep it down? Don't scream, I mean. Keep it down, I'm writing something.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In September 2022, the group has 9,250 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
