My house is small. A circle in a square. It depends on who is looking. And from what angle. That's how I inherited it. I struggle to fit in, me and everyone I brought with me. Some live in the attic, others in the chest. No rent. I collect crumbs at every meal. I store them in the cellar. Better to have them. For the hard times. Paco is the privileged one of the house. He can get out of his cage. Anytime. Only once did he get scared and didn't come out. When I killed the tenants from the attic. He calmed down quickly. Now we have enough space.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
