Hey wench, get off of that FB and start cooking real food, not those tidbits I don't even know how to eat: with my mitts or the ladle. Our IDs are dated in ancient times and you act like a European diva. Look, your mama sent us crayfish and leeks. Where does she have crayfish from? She planted, dug, watered, and sent them. Red pepper you bimbo. It's like there's a whole grocery store in the back yard. Don't you have a recipe? Ask for one on that Real Fiction thing that makes you giggle all day long. There has to be someone who knows the recipe for crayfish and leek soup.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
