Since you came here out of nowhere, take that chair and sit down. You can wait for the sunrise with me. What did you say your name was? What is this name Life? Nevermind, you can explain it to me another time. Are you drinking something? I'm not asking you why you came, I'm trying to be polite, yes, but why the hell didn't you put on a little powder, or something, your nose is shiny, that red lipstick doesn't suit you either, you look like an old whore, come on, forgive me, I still have bad days. Let's play naked poker, will you? Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. You play it well. Are you sure you don't want a mouthful too?

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
