Yes, I have to wake up to live. Peep, peep, look at that too, beat your chest. What else do you want, yes, I'm taking the cbd now, just to smoke one more pack before lunch. I don't have beautiful hands, I don't have thick veins, I have cool eyes instead. Maybe I should shave my beard, I'll look younger. Yes, but then I'll look like my father. I like talking to myself in the mirror, my alter ego is smarter. Let me play another song on the guitar, increase the flow: real friction, real friction, I'm sick of you guys.

Real Fiction is a collective project started in 2013 by Florin Piersic Jr. The concept of Real Fiction continued to exist as a Facebook group, after a volume of stories was published at Humanitas Publishing House. (In October 2022, the group has 9,400 members.) The authors write ultra-short stories, with the texts limited to 500 characters (in Romanian, so the length of the English translation might be a little different) - a flash-fiction exercise on a topic that changes almost daily. The group's coordinators are Florin Piersic Jr., Gabriel Molnar, Răzvan Penescu, and Luchian Abel. (Drawing by Adrian T. Roman)
